Multi-4MP is a multimodem that supports up to four 56Kbps modem connections from one board. It is an internal
modem specially designed with the expertise for external modems. It replaces the combination of multiports and
external modems with just a single internal board. It is applicable in many practical fields such as fax servers, RAS
systems, and modem pools.
Fax Server Implementation
Up to 4 lines of modem connection is supported from one internal board
so that no external multiport and multiple external modems are needed to
implement a modem system. Fax servers can be implemented in reduced
expenses and cabling work.
Great Compatibility
Because of its Conexant modem chip, the Multi-4MP can keep a stable
communication with third party modems and software.
RAS Server
RAS(Remote Access Service) Server has multiple modems installed to permit access to network resources located at
corporate or headquarters network from remote sites by using telephone lines. RAS Server can easily be established
by installing the Multi-4MP on the server PC and appropriate software on Windows NT/2000 environment.
Remote users can work under the same environment as locally connected clients with the help of RAS server built in
the office or headquarters. (Maximum 16-modem RAS server can be built with Multi-4MP)
FAX Server
FAX server allows FAX transmission through LAN environment by using a PC. FAX server can easily be established by
installing the Multi-4MP on the server PC and appropriate software on Windows NT/2000 environment. Clients
connected via network can transmit / receive FAX documents with the help of FAX server even without a FAX modem
on the PC. (Maximum 16-modem FAX server can be built with Multi-4MP)
